OUR PROGRAMS

Best Buddies Philippines provides life-changing programs tailored to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental diversities (IDD) across the country. We focus on building one-to-one friendships, offering integrated employment opportunities, and fostering leadership development and inclusive living. Rooted in Filipino values of community and inclusivity, our programs aim to create a society where people with IDD are fully embraced and given the opportunities to lead meaningful, independent lives.

OUR PROGRAMS

One-to-One Friendship

We promote inclusion through fun, meaningful, and enriching one to one friendships between individuals with and those without IDD.

Leadership Development

Lead a Best Buddies Chapter, join the annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference in the US, be a Best Buddies Ambassador, and promote inclusion and acceptance in your school or community.

Integrated Employment

We provide employment opportunities and job support for people with IDDs by matching them to companies that practice inclusion in the workplace

One-To-One Friendship

Best Buddies Philippines’ one-to-one friendship program pairs individuals with intellectual and developmental diversities (IDD) with volunteers to form meaningful and lasting connections. Matches are carefully made based on age, gender, and interests to ensure strong compatibility and genuine friendships.

Through our school and citizen chapters, we foster inclusion and community engagement across the Philippines, creating spaces where everyone is valued and supported.

One-To-One Friendship

Builds friendships between people with and without IDD, offering social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion.

BESTBUDDIES® Middle Schools, Colleges, High Schools and Universities

This initiative is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse school environment for people with IDD, at a time in their lives when social and emotional development play a critical role.

BESTBUDDIES® Citizens

Supports the development of friendships between adults with and without IDD in corporate and civic communities. Many people with IDD have limited opportunities for social interactions after they leave the school environment. This program helps people with IDD become part of mainstream society and creates an inclusive and diverse community for all.

Leadership Development

Best Buddies Leadership Development aims to educate and empower people with and without IDD to become leaders, public speakers and advocates. Active members who exhibit leadership qualities are encouraged to go through the training to find their voice and strengthen their advocacy to serve others.

Best Buddies passionately believes that its program participants can lead the effort within their community and beyond to build a more inclusive world for people with IDD.

Leadership Development

Educates and empowers people with and without IDD, to be leaders, public speakers, and advocates.

BESTBUDDIES® Ambassadors

This program allows people with IDD to acquire the skills to speak in public, but also to gain the self-esteem and confidence to carry out advocacy, as well as those of their peers, within local communities, businesses, and administrations.

Integrated Employment

This program helps individuals attain and maintain jobs by providing ongoing support and training. The Jobs program enables people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to earn an income, pay taxes, and work in an environment alongside others in the community.

Pre-Employment Program

The Best Buddies Philippines: Inclusive Pre-Employment Training Program is a series of 12 bi-weekly sessions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to prepare for integrated employment.
